Chronic Pain MedsCheck Trial

The Chronic Pain MedsCheck Trial started in November 2018 and pharmacists have been completing the required trial training and community pharmacies have been conducting trial services across the country.

The trial services involve reviewing the eligible patient’s medicines, working with them to create an action plan, and providing them with education about alternative methods to self-manage their chronic pain as well as providing applicable resources.

The Chronic Pain MedsCheck Trial is funded by the Australian Department of Health as part of the Sixth Community Pharmacy Agreement (6CPA) Pharmacy Trial Program (PTP), and managed by the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and HealthConsult Pty Ltd.
