Project Summary
This project will create a self-sustaining infrastructure to support professional activity and promote inter-professional collaboration in rural areas through recruitment and training of a network of rural pharmacists. Initial activities will support rural pharmacists to become accredited for and to deliver Home Medicines Reviews (HMR). This project will aim to deliver a net increase of 290 rural pharmacists having completed stage one training to conduct HMRs at a cost of $498 per pharmacist. Process and impact evaluation will be conducted to evaluate the success of training and the sustainability of the network to provide for delivery of cognitive services.
